Overview
I have over 25 years of experience working in human services, in a variety of settings and with diverse populations. I have worked closely with, and been trained by, experts in the fields of: diversity, multiculturalism, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, acceptance, commitment, and narrative therapies. Stages of change, motivational interviewing, and supportive approaches are interwoven throughout my work. I also have advanced specialty training and experience in Buddhism, wellness coaching, working with Veterans and AD military (and their families), and addictions. I believe in an integrative approach that both meets people where they are at, while also working with them to overcome their challenges and move toward believing they have a life worth living.
